Bibliology Series Recap

1. Authority

...because it is the very words of God. It’s God speaking directly to us through these words in this book. Therefore, it is the standard for all truth and reality. It is these governing rules of life to the highest degree possessing ultimate authority. 2 Tim. 3:16

2. Clarity

...because without our ability to understand it, it would be useless. Why would God give us this to know him if we can’t understand it and know him? So God uses the gift and development of language to communicate to us about who He is and what He’s done and how that changes us when we believe. Deut. 6:6

3. Necessity

...because without it, we won’t know salvation through Jesus and others will not as well. We would just know about God but not have a close and intimate relationship with him through Jesus Christ. Thus, the Bible is needed for salvation and spiritual growth. Rom. 10:13-17

4. Sufficiency

...because without it, we will have to look for other things on top of this to live our lives by, but we won’t because this is enough. Deut. 4:2
